Three Thought Thursday: Vol. I

One of the best coaching courses I ever took helped me learn more about note taking than any professor over 6 years of higher education.

15 minutes in to the course the head coach walked slowly down the middle isle scanning the notebooks as he passed. He picked up my neighbors notebook, paused a moment to look at it, and asked why they were copying the information on the slides. He said “that information is useless, its only useful because of the of the thoughts it evokes for you…How you apply this information in your context is what matters…so write those thoughts down.”

I hope today’s One Thought from Me and One Thought from Someone Else brings forward a useful Thought from You for your own life today. With that in mind here is: Three Thought Thursday: Vol I

One Thought from Me

“Today will be a great day if I can stay out of my own way.”

One Thought from Someone Else

“Anxiety is fear about what may happen in the future, and it occurs only when the mind is imagining what the future may bring. But when your attention is on the here and now, the actions which need to be done in the present have their best chance of being successfully accomplished, and as a result the future will become the best possible present.” - W. Timothy Gallwey, The Inner Game of Tennis

One Thought from You

What comes up for you after reading those? How can you use it in your life? Write it down or send me your thoughts via email.
